that is an excellent list there my dear friend. though i haven't heard all of the albums on there AND i'm a bit biased as to who would take #1 (i'm really digging the decemberists - as if you can't tell from my ipod playlist on my blog. haha) but i just picked up the new sufjan stevens cd (a few weeks early? perhaps?) so things could change.

and i did respond to your comment on my blog. thus showing i have a lot of love for ALL boys with MP3 blogs. :)

i don't see how it can be a first half list when many of these won't be out until way into the second half

I have to strongly agree with your choices for #1 & #2. That is all I have been listening to lately. And John Vanderslice is so mp3 friendly that he has many tunes on his sight. I just posted some of his stuff.

  8. The National is my favorite new band. Everytime I think I can't possibly hear more great songs from them, I hear more great songs.
