Couldn't agree more regarding AMG.

 

Oh, don't get me started on AMG. Yeah, the new site LOOKS better, but all the proprietary (IE only) javascript they have running bogs down every page immensley, and the over burdened tables based layout doesn't help. There were many who offered (and some did) to rebuild the site pixel perfect but only a small percentage of it's former size and they refused, whioch is a shame.

Anyways, love the mouseover bios. Not quite a semantic use of the title attribute, but definitely more helpful than any other use I've seen. Really nice addition.

Also I'd like to add that the Narrator is on tour as I type and are a great live band.

 

Regarding the comments on the links, it doesn't work so hot for me using FireFox.

I see about twelve words worth, then an ellipsis. Probably a character maximum - the first one ends with:

Longwave got their st...

Also, the comment only stays visible for ~5 seconds.

It doesn't make things worse, but it doesn't make it better for me.

 

not much good in IE either as it disappears before you have time to read it

well it appears there are a few bugs to be worked out with regards to the mouseover bios. if anyone out there has any suggestions to cure the problems mentioned above, please feel free to lend your expertise and experience.

I like the little mouse over bios. very cool...and yeah, I don't even bother with allmusic anymore. I use to frequent that site alot but now it's just worthless.

 

I think it's a fantastic idea, Alan. I have no trouble with it on Safari, which surprised me ;).

 

your link thing looks like a good idea, but on the first four it blinks too rapidly to read. Anyway, I don't comment much, but this blog is quite rad. keep up the good work.

mouse over info -- eh. I could live without it. THE NARRATOR = rad. I missed their show in Fresno and I have regreted it forever since.
