| *SIXPACK 108 |
Todays' sixpack contains some very good and very new music that cuts across a few musical genres. The most amazing song in this group is without a doubt the last track. "Paddy's Gone" is from the upcoming You Are My Sister single on Secretly Canadian (October 25, 2005) by Antony and the Johnsons. This song is magical, although it is the simplest of melodies, the simplest of emotions but that's what makes it the perfect vehicle to multi-track Antony's voice. This performance hints at the sad Irish soul within Antony... it's Van Morrison stripped down to his essence, down to the musical angel that lays within Morrison's human frame. This is a pure lament delivered angelically.

There is something magical about old Antony alright, even if the album takes a while to work its magic. You alluded to an Irish link?

I should have included Antony's family name, Hegarty. A good Irish name. This is the link to which I alluded.

Thanks for feeding my Antony addiction.
