Mike Cloward began his small indie label the way so many small indie labels begin - by needing a way to get his bands music out, so people could hear it. Beginning in 1983, the fledgling imprint had it's up and downs, but has survived and is healthy and vital in Modesto, California, with a group of artists it obviously cares about.
