White Stripes, Raconteurs, and Brendan Benson @ eMusic

After Jack and Meg White form The White Stripes, they tap directly into what makes the world tick, sex, rumour, and mystery, by confusing everyone about whether they are married, divorced, or brother and sister. They release four albums, date movie stars, rock stars, and crash cars (and i think, once in a while, all at the same time). Jack White is deemed worthy of the rock star tag, by his pasty skin, outlandish clothes, and his ability to be endearingly labeled a freak by all who see and hear him play. He then forms the Raconteurs, a four piece band with good friend and fellow Detroiter, Brendan Benson. Jack White's name alone causes a frenzy within the musical media community, one which levels off a tad when they can't find any sex, rumour, or mystery.

All five White Stripes albums, The White Stripes, De Stijl, White Blood Cells, Elephant, and Get Behind Me Satan, are at eMusic. Also, you'll find the Raconteurs recent debut, Broken Boy Soldiers. And to top it off, Brendan Benson has all his solo output available as well. Go here to get 50 free downloads at eMusic - this promotion offer will end June 1st, you've got little more than three days left.
