Beirut: Live at Kexp October 3 2007

After Beirut livened up Toronto last Tuesday night they moved on down the road to Chicago where they played a morning set for Seattle's KEXP radio at Engine Studios. I was at that Toronto show and now, days later, I recall the strange looking spectacle of what looks like an almost bare stage compared to most bands before they trooped out en masse and began to serenade the crowd. I can't recall the last time I saw a band playing all acoustic instruments... it was oddly thrilling, it was like you were seeing something special, and it was.
