Candy Bars

Another fine suggestion, this time from Florida (thanks, Meg), to give a listen to Candy Bars.

Found on Florida's own New Granada Records, Candy Bars are a trio, Daniel Martinez (Vocals, Guitar, Keys), Ryan Hastings (Drums), and Melissa Castellano (Cello), who traffic in a sound that is much like flying a kite: The music has a weighty solid foundation and yet, seems light as air and appears to fly. The few songs I've heard jangle and swirl surprisingly well for those found on a debut release. Candy Bars show promise for future efforts and must have delivered on any promises made upon this debut, On Cutting Tigers in Half and Understanding Narravation.
