When the band Devastations couldn't make it to their Toronto date due to circumstances beyond their control, the band's singer, Conrad Standish, felt compelled to explain and apologize to expectant Toronto fans. Here's what Mr Standish wrote:hey there,
conrad from devastations here. basically just wanted to say how sorry we are that we now don't have the chance to play your fair city. unfortunately this was totally out of our hands. one of the headliners on this tour pulled out very unexpectedly after only two shows, leaving us all high and dry. this then threw the rest of the tour into question, thus, the gig was cancelled at the 11th hour.
we are obviously disappointed that this happened, and will endeavor to make it back to toronto as soon as humanly possible. there really was nothing that we could have done about this, nor could we have foreseen this happening.
again we will make it up to you next time in toronto, and we will be open to
playing requests. maybe.
