YES, I have gone on about the greatness of John Vanderslice before, from his work in MK Ultra to his now stellar solo efforts, but if you haven't given his noirish story songs a listen, here is a chance to rectify that in one fell swoop. His latest album, Cellar Door, is available in remixes on his website, as are many, many, more great works spanning his career.
Go and listen. (after further listening I have discovered that the vocals have been pretty much mixed out of the remixes, diminishing them in my eyes... uuuh, ears, I mean)
