The New Pornographers Carl Newman Does Bacharach

The New Pornographers Carl Newman has been very open, if not obsessive, about his influences and here's a great sounding audio example. This is the band Carl sang in before the New Pornos were formed, Zumpano, doing a CBC radio session of all Burt Bacharach covers back on January 26th 1999. These songs will sound familiar to many, even if you don't recognize the song titles, these songs have entered the collective musical consciousness due to the simple fact that Bacharach is a genius.
