The Joggers: With A Cape And A Cane: Review

The Joggers
With A Cape And A Cane
[Startime International - 2005]

*Sixeyes Score: 6.8 out of 10

Imagine everything from Led Zeppelin's middle eastern influences to Stephen Malkmus and his now defunct, but still omnipresent band, Pavement, squeezed into and then out of the hands and mouths of The Joggers. These are shining touchstones and The Joggers are talented, but lead singer, Benjamin Whitesides, just doesn't have the dry, and at times droll, delivery of Malkmus to carry it off. But I'll say this: The song titles surely pique your interest, although great song titles don't make a great album... just a great track list.
